Wonderous “Working” Power of God

A true believer believes in the power of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is the power of God.   In the book of Genesis before God said Let there be light, the bible said that the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  When the Holy Spirit moves things happened, waters were divided, hearts were changed,  prophetic  words were spoken, in fact this power, the Holy Spirit, is the same spirit that quickened Jesus from the dead.  This power resides in every person who has received Christ in their heart and has made Jesus their Lord and Savior.  The same mighty power that went forth by the command of God and fashioned this world rests in those that believe.  We are equipped with a mighty power to overcome the enemy and everything that is meant to harm our well being.

We are living in a time that to some may seem overwhelming.  It may appear like there is no way out

God Does Love Women

I know that I am loved by my Father in Heaven.  I also know at times that particular circumstances in life can challenge this truth especially in women’s lives.   I’d like to share with you a letter of encouragement from a brother in Christ who responded to me during a search for specific scriptures out of the bible for women.  His response truly blessed me and I thought I would share it with you – perhaps it may be a blessing to someone too.

I noticed that you had said that you were looking for scriptures that relate, in a good way, towards women. First to understand that alot of times in the Bible when it refers to men/man, as Ryan said, its talking about mankind. I honestly really don’t know any scriptures off the top of my head that directly say something good towards women, but if you bear with me for a second maybe I can take another approach.

This is for all the women who may think that there worthless in God’s eyes.

Oh how I cherish the Word of God- the goodness and the promises of Jesus to those who love him and obey his commandments.  I often think  of a phrase I’ve heard, “A Kept Woman,”  and although I’ve experienced a lot of things in my life, I have never felt more “kept” and secure and loved and taken care of since I have known Christ.  I remember my past experiences before I allowed Jesus to be Lord over my life and nothing I have ever experienced can compare to a relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit ordering my steps.  When I share the good news with people I often tell them that I embrace all of the hardships and devastations

She lavishly sprays the pleasant perfume of peace over her chest to keep her heart from the discord and strife she’ll encounter throughout the day. “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” (Colossians 3:15)

Obedience Not Welcome in Church Today?

This is a message to the Body of Christ,

I understand my writings may not be popular. I’m not here to stroke the backs of men with soft words that tickle the ears. Nor am I here to appease anyone and tell them they’re blessed and highly favored. Because the truth is when your heart is truly in Christ, it is self evident. They’ll know you by your fruit, trust me I don’t need to tell anyone they’re blessed and highly favored when they really do walk circumspectly before the Lord. People see that and want the peace and joy, the favor and the blessings they see on that person. Like the bible saids “Blessings overtake them.”

Patience – the Hard Part

Wouldn’t it be so nice if faith had nothing to do with patience? Or would faith even exist without patience? Patience is the ingredient that keeps your faith steadfast and strong. James’ letters begin with exercising patience in James chapter one. Paul’s letter to the Colossians begin with patience also in Chapter one. Proverbs 19:11 said that a man becomes wise when he becomes patient. As a matter of fact, men’s hearts often fail them simply because they lack patience. As a student of the word, I study my bible everyday and last night as I read Luke, the word patience jumped out at me again. Luke was describing the parable of the seed and the sower that Jesus spoke to the disciples about. Even when you receive the Word of God in your heart and hold fast to it – you still have to hold

Not to long ago a I found out a friend of mine was diagnosed with cancerous cells in her cervix – she called me and told me her doctor said this kind was common and due to multiple sex partners. Avid church goers she and her husband – she had been faithful to her husband, and although, she was in denial, her husband’s promiscuity is common knowledge. Also the fact that he justifies his behavior by blaming her is a well known story he’s shared with many. He also feels his wife lacks understanding, she should be comfortable with his COMPANIONSHIP, FRIENDSHIP, ACQUAINTANCES with other women. If pure right, if deceptive wrong. Listening to my friend’s pain prompted me to write.

As believers, we must “Test everything.  Hold on to the good.  Avoid every kind of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)

Halloween is not an innocent `holiday’, but is rather a satanic celebration and a means to further corrupt our culture and children.
The roots of Halloween are from an ancient druid observance Samhain at the end of summer (Nov. 1). The Celtics believed Samhain was a time when the division between the two worlds became very thin, when hostile supernatural forces were active and ghosts and spirits were free to wander as they wished. The Celtics lit bone fires to assist the druids (priests) as they offered sacrifices to placate the gods. Sometimes these sacrifices were human.

Later the church grafted Christianity with this custom. By calling Nov 1 `All saints day’ Oct. 31

Study to Show Yourself Approved

It is obvious that we are all living in trying times. With unstable economic conditions, violence, wars and rumors of wars, confusion and strife on every level of human relationship, how can one find the answers to peace unspeakable, a sound mind and joy in this season? On CNN, your local news channel, or perhaps TBN? Perhaps simply attending church and listening to a Pastor on a consistent basis – do you still feel a sense of healing midweek? It is of vital importance (and I can’t stress that enough) that we open our bibles and study God’s word. That we make a commitment and develop a personal one on one relationship with our redeemer who left with us the Holy Spirit that reveals all truth. The only thing that will fill the void, expound on the mysteries, issues and solutions of life and lead you to a path of abundance without sorrows is the Word of God. God fashioned the end from the beginning so

It Amazes Me…

The Lord knows how to grow you up to be resilient and make ya unshakable like a deeply rooted tree.

The word said “many are the afflictions of the righteous man, but Lord delivers him out of them all.” (Psalms 34:19).  It’s been my experience as I grow in the word that I encounter more and more trials and tribulations the more I search out the scriptures as for hidden treasure.  I believe that as the Lord deposits new revelation in your spirit, a trial – a test comes right along with it to give you the opportunity to exercise  your new found revelation.  Say you get this awesome revelation on faith – you rejoice,  and thank the Lord – your spiritual eyes are opened right up; you feel like wow, I get this faith at a deeper level.  Well, here comes a situation that seems to test your faith.  Did you really get it?  Can you exercise that revelation?  I believe revelation and circumstances are appointed by God’s perfect timing. But operating and exercising the revelation does wondrous things for your spirit, your faith, your strength – there certainly is no turning
